Winter Escape

This month I went on a winter getaway to San Juan, Puerto Rico. This was my first time on the island but instead of jamming in every excursion and the “must see” activities into my trip, I decided to lay low and soak up the sun most of the time. I stayed at the
Ritz Carlton San Juan. The staff and the food was fabulous! The only place I went to visit was Old San Juan. I immediately fell in love! This historic site has remained true to its authenticity. The architecture and colors kept me at a daze. Every small street led me to a another beautiful perspective of what this small part of the city has to offer. I had a heavenly meal at “El Jibarito” on Calle Sol. It was soo delicious, I went back the next day! I did the tourist thing by visiting el Castillo San Felipe del Morro, La Fortaleza and la Catedral de San Juan Bautista. Old San Juan is filled with places to eat and places to shop. One of my most favorites was Olé Curiosidades. I LOVE HATS! This place is hat heaven!
