Conservatory Garden

DSC_0218

The Conservatory Garden in Central Park is one of my favorite places in all of New York City.  I have an emotional attachment to this small oasis.  For many years, I would walk through here with my son after school.  It became a ritual for us.  Whenever the weather was nice, I would walk into the gardens with him and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of flowers, birds, and tranquility. We would usually buy an ice-cream from a street vendor, walk around the garden, than go for the long walk across Central Park to the west side of the park.  Sometimes, I find myself visiting the gardens alone for some alone time.  I find it relaxing and therapeutic.  The beautiful peaceful space allows me to think and process and thoughts or problems I’m facing.  We all need to take a few minutes from our day to ourselves. We deserve it! To be surrounded by such beauty, makes me feel like the most luckiest person in the world to experience what God can create and gifted to us to admire.
